Kivumu Expansion

With the generous help of our sponsors, in November 2019 we were able to expand the Kivumu Community garden to an extra hectare and provide materials needed for new sponsored families to start the new phase. This community garden supports 70 families per year in two growing phases, in an ongoing and sustainable program.

Because of the expansion the community garden now has two hectares and we will be able to double the number of the families we support. Our self-sufficiency model is designed so that the participants pass training and a portion of the crop seeds to the next sponsored families. The families are super excited to be part of this project and they are grateful for the sponsorship.
