This year the Wings of Hope for Africa Team are reaching higher and further. We have created 5 goals for the year that reflect community needs and would allow us to better serve those in need. Below are our goals for 2023.

• Build a Food Bank in Calgary: In response to the growing needs of our local community in Calgary, we aim to establish a food bank that will provide consistent access to nutritious food for low-income families and individuals.
• Expand our “Back to School” Program: We plan to increase the number of children we support in Burundi with school essentials, aiming to help an additional 100 children this year.
• Strengthen Income-Generating Projects: We aim to launch new cooperative projects in East Africa, particularly focusing on sustainable agriculture and small business activities. These projects are designed to foster community building and promote self-sufficiency.
• Enhance our Emergency Relief Program: We aim to improve our capacity to respond to emergencies, providing more immediate and effective assistance to individuals or families in personal distress or victims of environmental disasters.
• Increase Community Outreach in Calgary: We plan to extend our support to more low-income families and single parents in Calgary, providing them with resources such as food hampers, grocery gift cards, school supplies, winter clothing, and Christmas toys.
